LI Sister School Programs benefit students in the development of character, motivation and drive for the future. Once in the program many opportunities become available to participating high school students.

College Search & Application Assistance:
LI staff will help all Sister School Program members narrow the college list and help to find a perfect match. Because LI staff members have attended a broad range of higher education, institutions, advice and beneficial knowledge will allow students to further understand and develop ideas for their futures.

Scholarship Search & Application Assistance:
With a rising cost of college, participation in a LI Student Sister Program will serve to help in finding suitable scholarships for program participants. LI staff members will be accessible for all LI Sister School Program students and aid in the process of finding, applying, and following up on results of college scholarships.

Recommendations:
With many colleges and universities requiring letters of recommendation from teachers, LI staff offers Student Sister Program participants an extra letter of recommendation, furthering information about each student while allowing college admissions to see a non-academic side of the student and the benefits of extra-curricular activities within the balanced life of the student.

Written specifically for each individual, the recommendation is guaranteed to enhance the qualities of each student, while separate the application from the rest.their futures.

Personalized DVDs of your Achievements for College Applications and Scholarships:

Similar to the letter of recommendation supplied from LI staff members, LI will assemble a DVD to be sent to college admissions along with applications. To help display the participation and efforts exuded by Sister School Program participants, the DVD will demonstrate the work and growth each individual student has acquired throughout involvement of LI.

It will serve to highlight the accomplishments of the participant in areas of fundraising monetary aid, ideas and direct contact with LI students abroad, and growth and development of the sponsored project.
