Stephen Trivers is currently the President of Stephen C. Trivers, LLC, a business consulting firm based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, specializing in management guidance, sales training, and personal coaching. Previously he had a long, successful career in radio broadcasting holding sales, programming, and management positions in the industry. In 1972, he co-founded and became the President and majority stockholder of Fairfield Broadcasting Company of Kalamazoo, a position he held until selling the company in May 2006.
Mr. Trivers became interested in Leadership Initiatives as a result of his long friendship with Marshall Bailly. The mission, accomplishments, and ideals of the organization inspire Mr. Trivers and he feels it an honor to serve as LI’s Board Chairman.

THEODORE N. CARTER
Executive Managing Director for CBRE's Government and Public Sector Solutions Group

Theodore Carter serves as Executive Managing Director for CBRE's Government and
Public Sector Solutions (GPSS) business unit, with a focus on leveraging the breadth of CBRE's platform for public sector and government clients. Prior to joining CBRE in October 2005, Mr. Carter served as President/CEO of the quasi public National Capital Revitalization Corporation, a real estate development entity in Washington, D.C. From 1997-2000 he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Management Operations at the United States Department of Treasury, where his responsibilities included leadership and oversight of the department's real estate, procurement and security\critical infrastructure portfolios as well as financial and management oversight of the department's law enforcement bureaus. He has held senior staff positions in the mayoral administrations of Mayors David Dinkins and Rudolph Guliani in New York City, and Marion Barry and Anthony Williams in Washington, D.C.

TAMARA JACK General Counsel (pro bono)

Tamara Jack is an outside General Counsel (pro bono) of Leadership
Initiatives. Currently she is the Assistant General Counsel at Logistics
Management Institute (LMI). In this position, she provides advice to
LMI staff on U.S. export controls compliance, immigration law issues and
various U.S. government contract formation and administration matters.
Prior to joining LMI, Ms. Jack was an associate with the law firm of
Dykema Gossett PLLC in their Washington, D.C. office, specializing in
the areas of International Trade and Government Contracts. She has
represented clients in a variety of export control law matters, as well
as various litigation and procurement matters relating to government
contracts. Tamara holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts degrees from

MICHAEL J. KRESSLEIN

Mike Kresslein has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1992. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Valuation Analyst. He has been admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he was a member of the Maryland Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif (top 10%). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University, having graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Accounting and Finance, and also studied at Oxford University in Oxford, England.
Mike primarily helps service law firms litigating large commercial cases. He often provides support in assessing and calculating economic damages, and has also assisted in evaluating accounting improprieties. He is skilled at drafting expert reports and works closely with attorneys in evaluating cases and in discovery-related matters.

MANIK K. RATH
Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Mr. Rath is the Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Logistics Management Institute. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Washington Metropolitan Association of Corporate Counsel and is on the Steering Committee of the General Counsel Forum of Nothern Virginia Technology Council. Before joining LMI, Mr. Rath was vice president, deputy general counsel, and secretary of Alion Science and Technology Corporation. He also served on the board of directors and acted as secretary to two of Alion’s subsidiaries and was general counsel to one subsidiary. Previously, he was an attorney with the law firms of McGuire Woods and Baker and McKenzie. He has a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts in Government and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
In his role as a volunteer member of Leadership Initiatives’ uncompensated Board, Mr. Rath is advising the company on legal, corporate and business issues. Mr. Rath notes that Leadership Initiatives is different from organizations that seek to help the developing world by giving aid. Rather, LI trains students in the developing world to become leaders, who can themselves change their own communities.

JENA ROSCOE
Operation Hope Senior Vice President
Chief of Government Affairs and Public Policy Government Affairs Office,
With extensive experience in both the political and non-profit arena, Jena Roscoe serves as an indispensable liaison for Leadership Initiatives. Jena served within the Clinton/Gore Administration as Associate Director for African American and Youth Outreach in the White House Office of Public Liaison. She has also played a key role as Assistant to the President of the A. Philip Randolph Institute of the American Federation of Labor, Congress of Industrial Organizations, organizing both laborers and African American leaders to meet the objectives of the labor federation. She currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief of Government Affairs at Operation HOPE, Inc., which advocates for revitalization and economic self-sufficiency of inner city communities, and stands as the nation's first social non-profit national investment banker organization. Jena provides Leadership Initiatives with critical strategic advice and networking support.

DAVID L. SCHAEFER

David Schaefer joined AH&T in 1987 and is a specialist in commercial property and casualty insurance and risk management for complex risks. He is an expert in management liability insurance and the risks associated with being publicly traded. He has assisted numerous clients obtain proper D&O liability insurance coverage for their initial public offerings. In addition to establishing and directing AH&T's management liability practice, he was the founder of AH&T's technology practice and the principal architect of Ensuring Integrity, a nationally known D&O loss prevention program for public companies. Under Schaefer's leadership AH&T has been recognized every year since 1994 by Tillinghast-Towers Perrin 's Directors and Officers Liability Survey as one of the top 10 leading national brokers for the placement of management liability insurance programs. AH&T has also been recognized as one of the top 100 private insurance brokerage operations in the United States for the past two years.
