NIGERIA PARTERSHIPS
ABUBAKAR TAFAWA BALEWA UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIP
LI-CGLAO is in partnership with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) for since February 2009, which has given birth to student involvement and enrolment in both the Leadership training and the project initiation, participation and implementation of multiple community development programs.
40 students were selected to participate after a rigorous application process in becoming the next generation of Nigerian Leaders. Students were from different departments, fields and faculties; using their various skills they were able to create, design and impliment five projects through their respective talents and deep understanding of their community.
The partnership has succeeded in bringing minds and ideas together which resulted in new community development programs
1- Fish Farming;
2- Skill Acquisition in Welding, Tailoring and Motorcycle Repair;
3- Computer Training for secondary and Primary school
4- Water Sanitation
5- CYDI disabled Training
So far the partnership has yielded significant results in creating new leaders and employing and uplifting citizens in several areas.

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU): is a third generation university situated in Buahci State of Nigeria. The university is technology oriented institution and offer courses such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Animal Production, Agric Econ. & Extension, Biological Science, Microbiology to mention but a few.
ATBU is partnering with LI-CGLAO in order to give its students qualities of leadership (leaders of tomorrow). The university also need to extend some of its development to the communities by collaborating with a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) e.g. LI-CGLAO. ATBU invite LI-CGLAO as an NGO and base on the work the organisation put through by giving leadership orientation to university level students that will bring about sustainable community development.
